System Requirements
Before installing Lasts Studio, ensure your environment meets the following specifications:
  • Software: Rhinoceros® 8 (Updated to the latest Service Release).
  • OS: Windows (64-bit).
  • Internet Connection: Required for package installation and initial license activation.
Method 1: Automatic 1-Click Install (Recommended)
If you already have Rhinoceros 8 installed on your computer, you can launch the installation process instantly:

Click here to Install Lasts Studio via Rhino 8

This link will automatically launch Rhino 8 and open the Package Manager with Lasts Studio ready to install. Once completed, please restart Rhino.
Method 2: Manual Installation Steps
Alternatively, you can install the plug-in manually inside Rhino:

1. Open Rhino 8.
2. Type _PackageManager in the command line and press Enter.
3. Search for lasts-studio, select it, and click Install.
4. Restart Rhino to load the toolbars.
First-Time Activation Process (100% Free)
Lasts Studio is completely free to use, but it requires a one-time activation code during its first launch to validate your environment and enable automatic features. Follow this native workflow inside Rhino:

Step 1: First Launch Detection
When you run any Lasts Studio command for the first time, the software will detect that no license is present and will automatically open the About menu.

Step 2: Register & Terms
Click on the Register button inside the About menu. A dialog window will appear displaying the software's Terms and Conditions. Please review and accept them to proceed.

Step 3: Contact & Request Code
You will be directed to the internal contact/registration screen. Fill out your details. The plugin will securely communicate with our server, which will instantly generate and send an authentication code to your email address.

Step 4: License Creation
Check your inbox, copy the authentication code, and paste it into the activation field inside the plug-in. Click submit to send it back to the server. The server will validate the code and instantly generate your permanent free license.
How to Keep Updated (Automatic Updates)
Lasts Studio updates are deployed seamlessly through the official McNeel server ecosystem. You do not need to download or install new version files manually.

To ensure you always have the latest improvements, and fixes, simply verify your Rhino settings:

1. Inside Rhino 8, type _PackageManager and press Enter.
2. Look at the bottom-left corner of the Package Manager window.
3. Make sure the checkbox "Automatically update packages when Rhino starts" is **checked**.

With this option enabled, every time we publish a new update, Rhinoceros will automatically fetch, update, and deploy it in the background during software startup.
