Command Line Command Line _lsSurfaceFromBottom
Description
Converts the bottom of a raw last mesh into a smooth surface.
Steps
1. Download this sample file and open it in Rhinoceros 8®.
2. Run the _lsSurfaceFromBottom command.
3. Select the red curve as the 'Bottom Curve'.
4. Select the blue objects as the 'Objects to Enclosure'.
5. Set the options as intended in the menu.

Command Options
  • BlendDistance: Sets the distance at which the surface stops conforming to the enclosure objects and begins blending into the bottom curve.
  • ControlStep: Set the step value for surface control points.
  • Tolerance: Set the allowed deviation for the surface generation.
  • Preview: Calculates and displays a temporary preview of the surface before finishing the command.
Notes
  • This command is available in scripting and interactive mode.
  • Both planar and non-planar curves are supported as 'Bottom Curve'.
  • For optimal results, use Periodic NURBS curves (SubD friendly).
